Reid the Scroll – The book of Chronicles

Hi friends & families – I am so glad you can join me today. The scriptures I want to highlight is 1 Chronicles 16:8 & 11. Each of these verses is highlighting King David giving thanks to God and giving Him praise. The Lord Jesus should be acknowledged everyday and glorified for who He is. He is our creator and we are to praise His holy name. I encourage you to take time to pray and give thanks to the Lord as you pray through these scriptures.  Ultimately these verses remind us to seek the Lord and His face and He will strengthen us. Reid the Scroll – Book of Judges

Hi friends – It is so nice to see each you! I am really excited to share a scripture and story from the book of Judges. The scripture I want to highlight is Judges 8:23 and the person is Gideon. In Judges 6:12 the angel of the Lord appears to Gideon and says “the Lord is with you, you are a mighty warrior.” What encouraging and kind words the angel of the Lord delivered.  Between chapter six and chapter eight there were some battles that Gideon had to face with God by his side. In Judges 8:23 Gideon tells the people that ultimately God is the one who will guide them always if they let the Lord do that. You may not be in a battle like Gideon but there can be tough situations. Remember that God is with you, pray for God to direct you and He will guide you. Reid the Scroll – Joshua

Hi friends & families – I am so thankful that you stopped by today. The verse I want to highlight is Joshua 1:9. In this verse God tells Joshua to be strong, courageous, don’t be afraid and don’t be discouraged. I hope you understand these words to Joshua show how much God cares for him.  Just like the Lord also told Joshua to be strong and courageous, God wants you to be strong and courageous because He cares for you as well. Be reminded that God is always by your side giving you the strength and courage you need. I pray that you remember that this verse and these words of encouragement are also meant for you. Reid the Scroll – Genesis

Hi friends – Welcome to your journey with Reid the Scroll. He loves to “scroll” through the Old Testament. For the past few years he has been studying and journeying through the amazing books of the Old Testament. To start off this journey Reid the Scroll wants to highlight Genesis 1:27. It says that we are made in God’s image. You are made in His image and He has great plans for you! There is another scripture Reid would like to highlight which is Ephesians 2:10 that says we are His masterpiece. So you are made in God’s image and you are His masterpiece. Reid the Scroll – Exodus

Hi friends – It is great to connect with you again! There is something so wonderful about spending time learning more about God and the stories in the bible. The scriptures I want to highlight with you today is Exodus 20 which is the Ten Commandments. The Lord Jesus has great plans for each of  you. One of the many ways He shows His love for you is through the words and directions in the Ten Commandments. Each commandment provides instructions for your life and how to honour Him. God knows what is best for us and He has given us the ten commandments to guide, direct, correct and protect us. Take some time and review the Ten Commandments this week and try to memorize them. When you fill your  mind with the truth of God’s word good habits will form. Until next time my friends remember you are known and loved by God. 

Reid the Scroll – Leviticus

Hi friends – Thanks for stopping by! Part of this book is about holy living. God loves each of you so much. When you decide to commit your life to Jesus this is the beginning of a wonderful journey with our creator, becoming more like Him and becoming holy. Becoming holy is part of our journey of faith.  In Leviticus 19:2 it says – Be holy for I am holy. I am the Lord your God. Part of being more like Jesus  is becoming more holy or being a reflection of Jesus’ each day. Starting each day with a simple pray to ask God to guide you and direct you through your day. Your prayer could be “Help me to be more like you today Jesus. I commit this day to you. Amen.” That prayer could result in a simple but powerful act of love or kindness that God could use to make a difference in the world. God is love and acts of kindness show His love and reflect holy living. Until next time friends remember you are known and loved by God.

Reid the Scroll – Deuteronomy

Hi friends – In the book of Deuteronomy I want to highlight chapter 6 verses 4 to 9. This scripture talks about loving God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and loving your neighbour. It also outlines the importance of having God’s word on our minds. This scripture is talking to parents but I wanted to highlight as a strong reminder to all family members. God’s word is there to guide us, correct us and ultimately protect us. I love how much God wants to protect us! Take a look at these verses, receive these truths and ask God to help keep His word on your mind. Until next time my friends remember you are known and loved by God. 

Reid the Scroll – Numbers

Hi friends, There is a beautiful blessing that I want to highlight in the book of Numbers. In Numbers 6:24-26 it says may the Lord bless you and keep you and make His face shine down upon you, be gracious to you turn His face towards you and give you His peace. It has become a favourite scripture for me knowing how much God is saying to each of you. Please receive into your heart today that God wants to bless, keep you and be gracious to you. Amen!
